Time for music we like and forever classic

last night i managed to have  upload some of my favorite songs,
with this little small lovely XSPF web player and the  well done wordpress plugin by Boriel
it’s a free creation and easy to manage with some interesting feutures:

1. you can store you song anywhere as long as it accessible,
2. create you own playlist and customize the width and height up to your allow space
for example it fits properly to my sidebar,
3. you can add each song an image, something like disk cover and you can link to artist page where people can click on the small button “Info” …
4. the download link was removed, so that at least we try to respect the copy right law. the songs are for entertainment purpose only and subject to be removed if request by the owner or affiliated right owners.

well some more song will coming soon and from time to time i might change the playlist to rap or pop song … but before that my hard disk is full (too much songs) maybe it’s a good way to store music online LOL

Khmerbird will be in Hong Kong – the Chinese box film location

Sometime we just fall in love with a place, we don’t know why… have you seen Chinese box ? do you like the last scene from this movie? i did remember very well  – it transported from the eyes to the heart and it stuck there. well it take sometime to be in Hong Kong and now the chance has comes, i will there from 20 to 23 for business and also for being a tourist for the week-end. will post more picture if i manage to buy a flash memory on time,

Des Roses Et Des Orties – New Album of Francis Cabrel

i am not sure if you know Francis Cabrel, i know him since so far, due to the words he created for his songs are magnificent, sweet and simple.

i am now doing one text adaptation from his greatest lyric called “C’est écrit”,

i wrote since last night, seem like my silence from the writing since few months help me to discover something closed to what i want to write.

sometime we see thing but we cannot write nothing about it, there’s no starting and there’s no end. we have an idea but it cannot be expressed. we waited until it grow up enough to be told, to be written to be read and admire. Francis Cabrel spend years and years on his album, i found the CD by chance and that bring me to his official web site here:

franciscabrel.com/

myspace.com/franciscabrelofficiel

i will work again tonight on the text, hope to get it done this week.

Day 4 – Dalat to Nha Trang

The road from Dalat to Nha Trang is impressive, we drove up to mountain, passed from mountains to mountains then drove down… the road was recognized as a big construction, they worked a lots on that road. you can enjoy the movie clip

we arrived in Nha Trang at the evening and we went to visited a pagoda, not too far from the center of the city, where we can view back the hold mountain. i am not sure if called Long Son pagoda?

well it’s quite long time we never take a picture together… let’s do it once :-)

they spend almost an half hour to find out how the auto shooter works LOL, now everybody are in the pictures,

we had dinner at a romantic restaurant, it was quite expensive but we cannot go back since we already brought our frigo and whisky. we kept them a part and order some foods first before we can find a place at the beach to drink the Whisky. you will know that no one drink at the beach in Nha Trang, expect this group :-)

while waiting for the food, camera just shoot the camera, not people LOL

that the result came out at the end, this photo was shot by above camera man…

Whisky time … everybody got a red faces…

and some people are dancing with the music that we heard from the restaurant that we just left, a bit far but the music still blow in the wind.

and after we need to think about talking our own frigo back,

it was quite far, everybody got their turn,

last turn is the king of drink… and as we stayed at the Dream Hotel, the kind of drink dreamed every minutes, he even push my iphone down to the floor. if you go to Nha Trang, stay at Dream hotel, you will dream every minute LOL

Day 5 – Boad Trip at Nha Trang is coming soon

there was a way which music can heal my heart

i put 15 of my collections which i call “Old Good Time” collection songs,i don’t know how music can penetrate into your life, for me when i had a hard time, music help me a lot to forget the day,to sleep with hope, to have a reason to get up and dress, it was exactly what i wrote in my short story, i saved my money just to buy music, when i was in high school, all of my money went to cinema and music,i went everyday to Center Market, i buy all kind of music and i lived with them,i don’t have the future, i don’t have any girlfriend, i had music they are all old, except the 3 song from Admusic which i admire a lot about their works, i didn’t know the name of the singer, i will find out soon but his voice was incredible … i hope you enjoy my collection, otherwise others song you can click on info to go to the artist web site, i will put some more when i have time to upload. enjoy the music

a short story by Rachna

i came across Rachna blog, and read her short story where she just finished,it was an interesting message from a young writer, i admire a lot of her talent in story creation, she knows how to collects the main issues in Phnom Penh right now such as: the price of rice and fuel is increasing, the farmer sales their lands just for money without thinking of their future, some bad attitude of the young people where she can observe along her way, and the accident that is currently increasing everyday. it needs a lot of courage and patience to write such king of thing, but Rachna, she successes to give some opinions on those things, she doesn’t want to say it’s right or wrong but apparently it could give us a though about those issues, it’s an opinion of a person, nothing more… so that you don’t have to judge back but just give a though about it, the story started by introduce a young man, who lives a bit on his own and he is visiting his hometown, at night he had a party and then he has an accident due to his own game in driving with friends. One of his friend died. the narration of the story is interesting, simple and efficient,it’s a nice happy ending  you can read the whole story here,

Malai – Story of my secret love

as promise, i finished the short story. it’s a bit late due to many things came up with this last version. I hope you will like it, sorry if any fault orthography or any grammatical mistake.

The story deals with mature subject matter and is intended for adult audiences. Viewer discretion is advised.

i want to make special thank to Rachny for this lovely poster.

I would like to thank for all the proof readers: Rath, Kane, Nary, Pheaktra and Kalyan :-) you help me a lots in editing the story. thank for all of you for your contribution in this project.

La robe et l’échelle

these days i am listening to Francis Cabrel, along the way to office and back home
i love his last album Des Roses Et Des Orties,

there’s a lot of great text that he has invented, it’s beautiful after you listen to his songs, the more you listen the more you imagine the thing he wanted to say, he never express things in a direct way but combination of simple words could create a remarkable ” sous-entendu ” mean there’s always something hiding behind those simple words, and something has just arrived to you, it remind you of his texts. It’s a magic and i admire his talents and the time he spent for writing those songs.

Once you listen to it, it remain in your heart, i think i learn a lot from him in a way to express thing in a simple way, for example he wrote in one of his song:
Y’a tant de façon, de manière,
De dire les choses sans parler,
Et comme tu savais bien le faire,
Tu l’as fait

there are many possibilities, many ways,
to say things without speaking,
And as you know well how to do it,
You did

Nom du titre : La robe et l’échelle
Artist: Francis Cabrel

T’avais mis ta robe légère,
Moi l’échelle contre un cerisier,
T’a voulu monter la première,
Et après
Y’a tant de façon, de manière,
De dire les choses sans parler,
Et comme tu savais bien le faire,
Tu l’as fait
A descendre
D’ailleurs en suis-je descendu,
De tout ces jeux de transparence,
Ces fruits dans les plis des tissus,
Qui balancent
J’ai trouvé d’autres choses à faire,
Et d’autres sourires a croisés,
Mais une aussi belle lumière,
Jamais
Rien, rien n’efface l’essentiel
J’ai trouvé d’autres choses à faire,
Et d’autres sourires à croisés,
Mais une si belle lumière,
Jamais
Et voila que du sol ou nous sommes,
Nous passons nos vies de mortels,
A chercher ces portes qui donnent,
Vers le ciel

Sen Ze, as i heard, has doing Internet Business for years and he also wrote books about how we can make business from Internet. You can find more details about his books on his own blog. He will come here in Phnom Penh to do a seminar to share his experiences and show us how he did it. His seminar is brought to Cambodia by Oxcel Cambodia company. i have in mind quite long time about how can we do business online? and i believes it is very interesting to join this seminar. there are many possibilities and many ways to do business but where can we start? how can we do it? and is it convenient to the Cambodia situation? I think i will find some answer from this seminar. the cost is 150 USD, you might react wow it’s something! but this is something very professional and we got chance to hear and see how Sen Ze did it. this month even i sold my iphone first generation i am still short of money but for sure i will save money to join this seminar. it will take place on July 20 2008At Sunway Hotel,From 08:00 to 17:00 If you are interesting you can find more details about the seminar here, Internet Business Seminar.pdf

Advertisement in Cambodia

advertisement is a taste of life, you cannot deny that, you see it everywhere, on the buildings, at the top of the apartments, on TV, in the magazines, you find them everywhere, and each time when you see a good advertisement, you are exiting, it’s beautiful because it talks. and it does the same to me, for example like this one, so shoot me,i captured from Asian Life Magazine, one of my favorite magazines these days, with my new phone Sony Ericsson, it has a very smart auto focus, i am not a photographer.. but it allow me to take it as good as the picture on the magazine page. i forget her name, but i still remember the taste of life tv show, Keo Pich Pisey right?i guess so… her face with this angle, no one could tell exactly what happen, she is killing you LOL, it’s a beautiful advertising by a very professional photographer, it is very interesting to have professional photographer in town, one day i guess you would need theme,    i got another interesting one, the blue pumpkin, i captured from SB Globe Magazine it’s a new style of creating in the advertising domain, i used to see Samsung advertising group worked, wow they just came, sat and smoke and talked … but it’s their job, they life to get a new idea and believe me creativity is not an easy job. they’s why they get paid a lot, but people will say smoking is not good, well the smoke create the idea and let us discovery new things. but actually i promise to someone i will not smoke anymore, at least not in front of her sight :-) no but i try to minimize. i am not a smoker, i just smoke sometime when i write or drink. well who these ladies ? do u think i am the photographer who shoot this ? no, but it was the ladies in fashion, taken from an advertising of La Reine, in SB Globe Magazine  as we have observed now Cambodian ladies are ready to go the next level of life style, it will bring the beauty to Phnom Penh city, we can be sure of, as recently Icebreaker has mentioned on his blog  about the new generation of Cambodia Next Top Model. it’s a good sign.   on the left above, another advertising of a new photographer in town, captured from SB Globe Magazine, and the right one when i went to pay my Mobitel bill and since i have in mind about the Cambodian new fashion, i took a picture from Belami shop, but believe me i never been there LOl Technorati Tags: Cambodia Fashion,Advertisement,Life Style

The Russian Concubine – a novel

just bought the Russian Concubine, a novel written by Kate Mosse The synopsis interests me and the way of her writing is easy to understand,Since i am not so good in reading English novel, i always pay attention to the way the author express things. There are some books that i bought and i couldn’t finish them since each time i need to check the dictionary and even with the dictionary i couldn’t have enough courage to continue. This one i found it simple and easy to read. I will write the review in LAK Magazine, (LAK=LOOK AT KHMER), LOL The Russian Concubine, Novel, Kate Mosse

Invisible Trade: High-class Sex for Sale in Singapore

Invisible Trade
High-class sex for sale in Singapore

by Gerrie Lim

When an ambitious, adventurous gent named Sir Thomas Stamford Raffles “discovered” the tiny Southeast Asian island of Singapore in 1819, claiming it for the British Crown, he envisioned it as a geographical gateway between East and West. Now an independent city-state, Singapore is considered an Asian economic miracle, still a strategic crossroads, but its position on the map has also garnered bluechip status in the international sex industry. Thanks to the constant influx of business travelers, a floating world exists that few talk about, where beautiful escorts from various countries offer discreet companionship for a price, one not usually proffered in the bars and brothels of Asia.

Writer Gerrie Lim investigated this phenomenon and gained access to the secret world of highpriced sex workers. The result is a series of lucid portraits offering insights into this remarkable area of modern commerce. His subjects are women who are lavishly rewarded with money and gifts, some diverging from the oft-trod path to perform kinky services that include whipping and spanking, others being flown to exotic resorts in the company of men with money to burn. He also enters the shadowy domain of gay male escorts and karaoke hostesses, whose views challenge societal norms and question assumptions made about their career choices. The result is a fascinating work of cultural observation, from the vantage point of an eloquent literary voice.

Why i am still dreaming of you?

Richard Max – Keep Coming Back it almost has been 8 years that we broke up, last night i dreamed again about you. in that dream, i still love you deep inside, i don’t know if it’s in the past or future time but i am sure it will not happen. i never think about you quite long time ago, i forget your name, i forget your face i forget everything. i don’t know where the dream was coming from. i thought those memories are all gone into the wind or anywhere else, but i don’t know why i keep coming back to you. i guess you are now happy and live in a nice place, what the hell i am dreaming again about you? in that dream, you were smiling and taking care of me, and i was proud to have you in my heart. in that dream that i don’t remember the end, i was so in love with the game that you played, Richard Marx said it all in his song called Keep Coming Back. i don’t have to repeat it again. workshop – what love means to you?

Brel said talent is something when we really want to do something. now we want to talk about our own experience about love, our own imagination about love and what love actually means to us today.

forget about complicity of expression. forget about any writing skill or any style of roman you have read. we can start with a very simple thing. just think of when the first love came to you? or even before you found something about it, what does it mean to you personally ?

for example i can start with a simple thing:

when i was young, love means a sacrifice to me. in any movie i watched people sacrificed their life for the one they love. it’s something, i guessed, very special and important for human life. in any book, they talk about love. in any song, they wrote about love. love is everywhere in my imagination.

i moved to Phnom Penh when i was 15. love is still presents in any cinema and any book store in town. ….

i will continue when i have time but if you want to share your own experience you can join this workshop. please contact me. i will figure out a place and we can work together.

How To Save Your Bookmarks With Google

It happened to me all the time that I have visited a lot of good sites and I clicked save on the bookmarks of my internet browsers.

I don’t think I am the only person who use multiple internet browsers. For some reason IE is not work well for me. I didn’t say I don’t like it at all but there’s a lot of security alerts come up and it didn’t provide me any add-one I need.

Today I am using 3 internet browsers: Firefox, Chrome and IE.

How can I combine all these bookmarks when I have multiple browsers like this? And what happen if one one you need to change your computer?

Firefox got an backup and restore add-one which I used few weeks ago while I was using a backup laptop. That tools help me a lot to backup my bookmarks in Firefox and Thunderbird. I just need to do one click backup and restore in one single file.

But once again what is the name of that tools and how can I find it again when I want to download and install on another computer ?

Google Bookmarks can help you all.

It provide you a one single place to save your bookmarks from any browser … (I tested with Firefox and Chrome). It works perfectly fine for me.

Anytime, from anywhere I can consult my bookmarks and add by simply click on “Add to list” button at the toolbar of the browsers.

When you logged into your Google Bookmarks Account, try to find the button as below:

Drag and Drop this button at the toolbar of your browser, While you view and website and it think it’s interesting to add to your bookmarks, you simply click the button that you just dropped.

Simple ? Let me know about your own experiences with this tool.

Tony Jaa From Ong Bak Returned To Pagoda

Tony Jaa made the world surprise with his new martial art style in Ong Bak. I wrote and did some interview with few people that know about Bokator: Khmer Martial Art. That article would help you to find the different between Khmer Bokator and what Tony Jaa were using in his films.

The style of Tony Jaa is unique that we never seen in cinema or maybe it was never reached that level of fast and deadly dangerous like that before. The strength from his knees is very strong. He is a good fighter. Ong Bak, story itself had a good plot and have a lot of interesting stuffs to talk about.

Tom-Yum-Goong, this second film about elephant protector is too violence to me. I don’t know how you feel about fighting scene maybe it was Ok to you or good. I feel since that time that there’s need of good story teller.

Good story, good fighting scene would become a good action/martial art film. But fighting alone would never be enough to make the good film’s circulation.

I didn’t follow up closely to what happen in Tony Jaa since i watched Tom-Yum-Goong.

This morning via TwitchFilm, Tony is becoming a monk in a pagoda in Surin.

I read through the article posted by Todd Brown, I have learned that Tony got a lot of trouble with the film production and he did have a very bad time to finish the Ong Bak 2 and Ong Bak 3.

Would you go to see Ong Bak 2 or 3? I also left a comment on TwitchFilm and you can share your idea here or there.

I personally hope to see Tony return and make a good film.

Sleuk Krey Restaurant: Beef And Seafood

We usually do party at Reaksmey Angkor (my parents in law’s restaurant, I will tell you more details in other post). But last Saturday we want to do something different. So I started to send a message to all friends that we were going to celebrate Khmerbird Sharing party with a little note at the end of the message: FOR MEN ONLY.

@7 pm I arrived at Sleak Krey. This is my first visit. The restaurant’s owner is Sary Suy, an old friend of mine. He’s engineer and we came from the same Cambodia famous engineering school ITC.

I was impressed by the decoration of the restaurant. It’s totally different design from other classic Cambodian restaurant. It’s an open space with romantic lighting. It reminded me to some restaurants in Siem Reap. The restaurant is suitable for family party, friend party, birthday party or even staff party.

I was the first one that arrived at the place, even the owner not yet arrived. I ordered some fresh Angkor Small bottle for the waiting time. It costs 4000 Riels per bottle compare to our Reaksmey Angkor that serve Angkor with cheaper price of 3000 Riels. You can have other choice which is Anchor draft that costs only 8000 Riels per draft and if you buy 3, they will give you one more draft for free. It’s cool.

I ordered the Sleuk Krey’s beef and other seafood (sorry I can’t don’t know in English) which I believed it’s the special plate from the restaurant.

Then friends started to arrive and join the drink. All men, I don’t know for what reason they told their wife but we are men only. It’s nice to have that kind of party at least one or two per month to meet and discuss between us. We also have couple party but I think last Saturday was the first party that have men only. LOL

We were drinking, eating and happy to have the warm welcome from the owner. He offered us few plate of food for free. And I think we finished all his stoke for the night. The food are good and cheap. Most of the food cost only 12000 Riels.

The restaurant is not far from town, It’s located near Phsa Toul Toum Poung on the Lot.450, Street 123 , Toul Toum Poung I, Khan Chamka Morn. If you have any party and need an open space party please contact via 098 989 008.

For sure we will visit the place again soon. All the best wish to you Sary !

New Romantic Song By Chhay Virakyuth

I used to ask everybody on my facebook profile, what is your favorite song today? I didn’t got any good answer yet. Today I found mine. It was on the way back home I listened to Radio show by DJ Lux (he’s a funny man). I started to like that radio channel 92.7 MHz.

I don’t know if there’s any other interesting program but DJ Lux is rising awareness of traffic law by asking questions to the callers. It’s a nice initial idea to help to minimize the traffic accident in Cambodia.

Ok talk back to my favorite songs,

It have been quite long time that I never listen to any song. I used to have on my record all the good songs around the world. I still have now a lot of songs in my itune library. These are my favorite songs posted so far:

Khmer Music | Bun Sak returns in SD 89
Khemarak Sereymon – 5000 USD Is Tlay Nas !!!
i am a fool to want you
Has anyone told you …?
Stanislas – La belle de mai
Why i am still dreaming of you?
Losing My Religion – R.E.M.
Sokun Nisa is back
Soulmate by Natasha Bedingfield
Tombe la neige, Sapon Midada Vs Salvatore Adamo

This evening Chhay Virakyuth voice was coming straight from his heart, telling all his secret love story in a touching way. I used to listen to his voice at the night club where he used to work in the past and I like some of his previous songs but this one I can’t let it go.

It’s sweet, innocent and beautiful. The song telling a story about a man that trying to tell his lovely sweetheart not to forget him. He asks his girlfriend to tell everybody that she is his girlfriend.

I like to way people confess frankly his feeling. It is hard to tell or write what we feel about. This one is the most Cambodia pop romantic song that you probably haven’t listened before.

I left a note on his facebook wall, hope we can get more details on this song soon. I hope to get his reply.

What’s the hell I am talking about? Where is the song?

Oh yeah. The song came under the title “Kom Phnech Brab Ke Tha Oun Chea Song Sa Bong” (Don’t forget to tell them that you are mine) in the album of Bing Man Production AUDIO VOL.6. You can now buy online the complete Audio CD for the cheap price of 2 USD. I am happy to see original production can sale their music online. This will help to support Cambodian local artist and Phnom Penh Music industry.

You can support the original artist by buying their music online direct via Bigman Production.

Optimize For Better Performance

During this weekend I have work out on this blog to make it load faster and eliminate what is not necessary on the page.

You might observe the time of loading page …

I didn’t have time to read the news and share you guys here. On Monday you should have you daily digest as regularly post. This is the manually collection from my sources available that I have been setting up to follow any news and events.

I still hope some people could benefit from it.

On the other hand, I also want to have original article written by Cambodian writer and/or blogger. I want this site to be the Cambodia #1 Sources.

I would need some contributor, guest post and many more writers for this blog. I am setting up a sharing revenue system that would allow the contributor to share from the revenue of this site.

I disable a lot of plugins, if you found something not working please let me know. The reason I disable all theses plugins because I observed the loading page is slow, some error appear when someone browse from Internet Explorer etc.

Any feedback on this would be appreciated !

I am not an iphone user anymore. I still love it but cannot offer its price right now. But I am sure there are a lot of iphone Users in Cambodia.

I believe now you can use your iphone web browser to go to the twitter.com site and it will show automatically the mobile version of twitter and you can do the research by going to this twitter search.

What is the benefit of twitter iphone application?

You have to tell me ! If you want to try the application you can go to this link: twitter for iphone

Bangkok Dangerous In Real (Not Movie)

URGENT: Fri 14th May 2010: The army is expected to crackdown on the Reds in the Ratchaprasong area today or tomorrow! MRT and BTS have already stopped their trains located in or near the Red Zone.

ALL shopping malls in the area have closed. Electricity, water, telephone lines etc. are expected to be shut down tonight.

The army are trying to surround the area. STAY AWAY from all RED and GREEN areas marked on the map. The Reds have nothing to lose and bloodshed is highly likely. At least one dead and a dozen injured last night in Silom area.

I Was Busy With Facebook Connect

Sorry that no more update on the new during this weekend. I have worked behind the scene on facebook connect so that people from facebook can put comment direct via their facebook account and share back to their profile if they wish too.

The code seems to be heavy, especially for thesis theme. I am still working on it. I don’t want to have two comment systems.

Hope you guys enjoy this new feature. Try out to comment something if you are logged in your facebook account.
